Community Engagement and Education

SiS engages and partners with communities across Tasmania to develop and deliver outreach, community-specific events, activities and education.

We focus on early intervention and prevention activities as well as community legal education. Some of our activities and educational topics include: The Shark Cage, Bringing Up Great Kids, healthy relationships, sexual health, parenting law, child safety, consent, family violence, criminal law, new legislation, cultural safety, trauma-informed legal practice, and additional topics tailored to community needs.

Please reach out to us if you are interested in collaborating with SiS to develop and deliver training to staff or people in your community. We can also work with you to improve your understanding in providing supports and services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the context of family violence and/or sexual harm.

We can help
keep you safe.
